While living in New York, Liz (of the ever-famous Colorado Streins) saw a then little known musical called "The Drowsy Chaperone." The plot: an armchair critic takes the audience on a trip through one of his favorite old musicals from the 1920s, "The Drowsy Chaperone." He puts on his record and the magic begins, coming to life in his very own living room. So what you end up with is a musical within a musical and (according to Liz of the Colorado Streins) non-stop laughs. I have to admit, I'm intrigued. Hopefully we'll see it come West soon. Here's the only clip I could find from the musical on Youtube. It's the performance from the Tonys.
