Dorothea Lange visited and photographed this small Utah town over 50 years ago. In many ways, not much has changed. There are still no eateries, no neon signs, no movie-houses, and the church is still the center of life in the community. The two groceries Lange photographed, however, have long since closed their doors. The old church is now city hall. A brand-new red-brick ward building sits in the center of town. This mix of Toquerville's past and present is what has intrigued me and pulled me back there. This is what I present to you now, though still a work in progress.
